Osama Bin Laden killed? Here's what REALLY happened. | Thursday, May 05, 2011 |

Alright, so the whole world is abuzz with the Operation Geronimo news. Osama Bin Laden is killed in a strike by American SEALs and like everything American, this news too is shrouded in controversies and there are numerous conspiracy theories doing the rounds. The way the whole situation was dealt with by the US authorities does raise eyebrows of doubts. There's no way that 4 US choppers penetrated so deep inside Pakistan and returned without raising a flag; and Pak came to know only when Obama told them. They are claiming that they used radar evading technologies and blah blah. Really....?? We are buying this? They can fly almost to the capital of a country without anyone knowing? No less to an army cantonment? We think too highly of "American technology". Also, if America had taken the risk of being discovered, Pak would've retaliated for misusing its air-space and it'd have escalated to war like situation. Also, Pak would've understood that US knows about Abbottabad and would've tipped Osama off and whisked him away. And Pak could have easily claimed later "Who, us? We know nothing". America couldn't take that risk. Here is what I think happened.

Fake pic circulating on net. (NOT released by USA)

  • USA came to know of Osama's hideout in Abbottabad. They ran surveillance for some time and confirmed his presence there.
  • They established ISI and Pak army indeed had facilitated that safe-house for Osama and were guarding it from a distance.
  • America confronted Pak with solid proofs & intel and ordered them to end their double game. America threatened to bombard Pak and reduce it to rubbles like Afghanistan. "Either you are with us, or you are against us". "We'll declare war on you and fuck the shit out of you if you don't hand over Osama".
  • Pakistan had no other choice. But they couldn't take part in the military operation to capture/kill Osama. Pak told USA "We'll be outcast from our Muslim nations' brotherhood. There will be riots in Pakistan. Al-Qaeda and Taliban, who are just next door, will blast us to oblivion." etc..
  • USA said "Alright. We'll make it look like you were not aware of this operation. Just allow us to fly our team in".

Thus, the stage was set. Now, on the fateful night...

Pak army/intelligence turned off the radars or whatever. Pak army cuts off power to that entire area. The US strike team flew in and landed on the compound. They themselves blew up one helicopter. [Technical snag claim is BS] This was done so that Pak save face and can claim internally among "Muslim nations' brotherhood" that Pak army had indeed intercepted the strike team and "pak army" shot them down to save "Our messiah".

There's a very good probability that the ISI/Pak army had at least one of their representative inside the compound as caretaker [or whatever] of the house or mediator all along. So far, he's been safeguarding Osama and reporting to Pak authorities. And been updating Osama about any developments. But this time, as Pak was exposed, he was ordered by Pak to help Americans when they strike. So he did. Probably he hid Osama's firearm before the strike and carried out other sabotages inside the compound. Thus when the SEAL team striked, they ran down the place, Osama was unarmed, all occupants were killed or captured and not a single American was even wounded.

Coming to think of it, I believe the SEAL got orders to "Capture Osama. And kill the rest. Kill them all. No survivors". That's why first it was announced that Osama's wife was killed, probably 'coz they didn't know it really didn't go as planned. In reality, when Pak was told that "We're here for blood", Pak said "WTF..!! Even women & kids?? You can't do that". After some deliberation, it was decided that women and kids will be spared. And thus later White House statement changed to "She was shot in leg, but not killed".

Now, the biggest question. Whether Osama was really killed. He might've been. He might not have been. The hurried burial "at see" is highly suspicious. And the way US is refusing to show evidence, I'm highly doubtful. If you ask me, until America shows some proof, I ain't believing. America doesn't care about Muslims getting shocked or upset by seeing the 'gruesome' picture of dead Osama. Hell, they were dancing & chanting & what not all over the country when Obama announced the killing. And now US is feeding us this BS.... releasing picture will endanger national security... What crap!!

Most probably Osama is captured alive and is being held at highly classified location like Area 51 or something for interrogation. They need him for all sorts of information and future plans. But couldn't let the world know that they have Osama. 'Coz then they'll have to follow the "Law" and shit. No. They faked his death and now they can do whatever they want with him. Osama is at their mercy and has no other option than to cooperate.

Internally, he ordered another team of experts to analyze the photo and determine if anyone can expose it as 'fake'. Well, the team returned with results - "Yes. We can".

Now, the photo controversy. First white house said they're pondering whether or not to release the photos. Internally, Obama asked CIA team to chalk something up. Great photoshoppers were assigned their task. When the photo was doctored and shown to Obama, he was impressed and announcement was made "Photo will be released. The Pros outweigh the cons". Internally, he ordered another team of experts to analyze the photo and determine if anyone can expose it as 'fake'. Well, the team returned with results - "Yes. We can". Obama said "Damn it!!" and announced "No no. The pic is very gruesome. It'll lead to bloodbath on streets". Err.. what happened to "Pros outweigh cons"...??

Next question - "What happens to Pak, now that it is exposed". The world is asking Pak to come clean. On face, USA will question Pak, but behind closed doors, it'll say "Alright pal. We're leaving you this time. Don't do this again". And the world will move on. But this might not end just here. America might in near future decide "Fuck, this ain't enough. We want more" and make a move on Pak. They'll say "Dude, Pakistan harbored Osama and stabbed us in the back" and declare war on Pakistan. They'll destroy/capture their nuclear arsenal and suck up whatever resource they can from Pak. And we all now what happens to the land after USA/hurricane Katrina has swept over it. Problem for Pakistan would be it won't be able to cry fowl. It can't claim then that it had helped USA in the Osama killing. 'Coz at that time, they'll know for sure that America isn't gonna back down, no matter what the world says. It'll be "Iraq & WMDs" all over again. Also, if they declare that they had helped US kill Osama, then "Muslim nations' brotherhood" won't come to fight for Pakistan in that war. Hence, Pak will have to endure the war, wash their hands off their nukes and maybe cease to exists as 'safe heaven for terrorists'.

USA will now have this sword hanging over Pakistan's head. Watch out how this unfolds. I seriously believe that we are on the brink of World War 3. What with what's happening in Libya and other middle-east countries. They are gonna be pissed sooner or later and declare a war, which will snowball worldwide. Also, this volatile situation in Pak now. Also, the way China is lining up its troops along the India-China border or Line of Actual Control. The whole world seems to be on the brink of another world war waiting to happen. And if that happens, you can be rest assured that someone is gonna use nukes. Is the world really gonna end in 2012? That too, not by external forces but in the hand of mankind itself?

To some it all up, these are my conclusions -
  • Pakistan was aware of Osama's presence in Abbottabad. In fact, ISI/Pak Army was sheltering him there. There's no doubt about it.
  • USA ordered Pak to cooperate or face war.
  • Pakistan personnel knew of the operation in advance and also provided support in the operation. Here also I don't have any doubt.
  • Osama is most probably captured alive. The killing is a hoax spread by White House.

Disclaimer: Don't brand me another Conspiracy theorist. What I've said above is common sense and use of logic. If you ask me for proof, well, I don't have any. Also, I hope that Osama is really killed this time. But until proven otherwise, the above account IS what I'll continue to believe.

Honour Killing: Rishton se badi Pratha | Saturday, December 18, 2010 |

And today we had the first casualty of Honour killing. Amreek was shot dead. A through-n-through head-shot.

Rishton se badi Pratha. One of the two Hindi sitcoms that I watch, the other being “Saas bina sasural”. Well, both shows are about young love. While SBS is light-hearted drama serial, RSBP deals with the social evil called “Honour Killing”.

RSBP

But why am I writing this post? Well, I guess I’m bit shook up after watching today’s episode. Not that I didn’t know what’s gonna happen in this story. In fact I knew it from the very first day itself that these lead characters are gonna end up dead and the body count is gonna start from the Best Friend. Whenever Amreek used to do something to help his friend escape, I used to quip “Son, you are gonna be the first martyr of their love”. And today was the day.

A little background for those who don’t know about this show. The story revolves around Abhay & Surbhi, who had to elope from their home as their families won’t accept their relation. Abhay’s sister is married to Surbhi’s brother Ranvijay who is a ruthless goon in Noida. Amreek is Abhay’s childhood best friend who helps them remain hidden while they find a way to leave country. Both their families are hunting them like dogs so that they can defend their ‘honour’ by killing them for braking social norms. [Yeah, that still happens in India]. This cat & mouse game was on since the show started on 15th November. Until today. Today marked the first serious turn of events. The first killing in the name of honour.

Scenes leading to this event– Ranvijay finds out that Amreek is helping the couple. So, he forces him at gunpoint to lead him to them. Amreek takes them to an old fort to mislead him. But when the cat is out of the bag, Ranvijay shoots Amreek through head. And that scene is still very fresh in my mind. During the last 3 minutes of today’s episode, my blood was already racing through my veins and when that shot was fired, I felt like that bullet hit MY head. Ears started ringing and I felt like I’m gonna black out. See the final 3 minutes yourself -

It’s not that I’m very emotional and I get lost in reel life and get too much attached to it. In fact, I can be totally indifferent while watching movies and sitcoms. But this was different. Maybe having been in an abruptly ended relationship has something to do with it. At some level, I feel connected to THIS story and issue. And even though I knew this was gonna happen sooner or later, as that's the theme of this soap, I was hoping against hope that this doesn’t happen. Till the last moment today, I was hoping for a cliff-hanger end of episode. You know, something like Ranvijay fires his gun and Amreek falls on ground, looking like he’s dead. And in next episode, they’ll show that the bullet only grazed his temple. Typical Hindi sitcoms. But that’s not what happened today.

The bullet went clean through his head. That’s the first thing they showed about the gun shot. His head jerked from the shot, blood trickled down his cheek and HE SMILED. He smiled knowing that he helped his friend, bought them some time, helped them live. He gave his life for his friend's love. I'm still captivated by that frame. And this was only the beginning. In next episode, Abhay & Surbhi are gonna get caught by Abhay's father at airport. And sooner or later, even they are gonna end up dead.

How can people be so cruel like animals...!! Killing someone in the name of honour...!! Is it more valuable than our loved one's life...? This is not just a story of a sitcom. This thing is happening all over India. Even at this age. The Nitish Katara case is still fresh in mind. And that of Nirupama Pathak. Heck, there are (Khap) panchayats in India who hail Honour killing and flaunt it as their right. And an Indian politician, Member of Parliament no less, supports them. Acts like these are why I feel ashamed to be part of Indian society. I have no words to express. And headache is building up.

888Bingo : Online gaming never looked better | Monday, November 22, 2010 |

It's that time of the year again. All the festivities have completed and we are back in the office with no excuses left to take leave. And festive season is just getting started in USA. So, there's virtually no work for us in office. Thus days are pretty boring. I, on my part, mostly depend on internet in such situations to kill my time 'productively'. But even that ain't working this time. There's nothing good to download. Not many of my friends are online when I am. In a nutshell, it was getting difficult to get through the day.

And then someone told me "why don't you Play Bingo". Now, I've never been a fan of online gaming. But this time, I thought - what the hell and visited the Bingo site. And boy, was I hooked..!!

Unlike most of the online gaming sites, this site wasn't cluttered and I wasn't without a clue on what to do where on the site. It's a simple process of registering and getting 20 free bingo cards instantly to get started. And it's a joy ride there on.

I've been playing for at least 3 hours a day since last week. It's addictive, it's fun, it's a total time-pass. Give it a visit and add me to your list of friends. Let's catch up.

The ONE perfect guy | Friday, November 12, 2010 |

U aren't gonna be his first, his last or his only love. He's loved before, he'll love again. But if he love u now, what else matters?

He's not perfect and u r not either. But if he can make u laugh, if you can be urself around him, if he admits to being human and making mistakes... hold onto him and give him the most u can.

He's not gonna quote sappy poetry, he's not gonna be thinking of u every moment of the day. But he'll give u a part of him that he knows u can break ... His heart..!!

So, don't hurt him, don't change him, don't analyze him and don't expect more than he can give.
Smile when he makes you happy, let him know when if he makes u mad & miss him when he isn't near.

Coz perfect guys don't exist but there is always that ONE guy who is perfect for you. Keep him safe.

How I'd like to Die | Thursday, August 19, 2010 |

It was late in the evening. I was on my way to Forum mall, a bit of excitement n fear in my heart. After all, it was my long awaited day. I had asked her to meet me at the Forum, that too on a very short notice. I was standing at the Pizza Corner outlet and can see her across the road - waiting for me at the McDonald entrance. I pondered hard and long. Should I do it? What if ....!!

But the longer I thought 'bout it, the more hazy my mind was getting. There she was - looking at every possible corner from where I can emerge any moment. She was waiting for me - this feeling itself was giving me a high. Maybe it was for the last time. 'Let's do it' - I told myself.

"Hey - There u r. Wassup? Such a short notice..!!" That's what she chirped on seeing me. "Let's eat something first. I went all hungry waiting for U." McDonald 1st floor - "Sooo ... tell me ... what is it?". Some sound and light effects - thin smoke engulfed us and I can no longer see or hear anything; not even what I was saying.

When the environ settled, she was looking into my eyes with a piercing gaze. But it wasn't hurting. Just some pain traveled from her eye to mine. For ages we sat like that. Finally she rose, walked across the hall (...!!!), came really close to me and gave me a hug. Was I dreaming...? If I was, I never wanted to wake up. When she withdrew, it felt like my soul was leaving my body. She spoke - from across a ocean - "Ohhhh Bikram,,,, that's the sweetest thing anybody has ever said to me. But U know that I love ....." Again that damn fog descended. What's wrong with the weather?

"I understand. But .... I am sorry." with that she gave me a final hug and left me alone in the crowd. It was raining outside but she didn't care and rushed for an auto. For me, I always liked getting drenched in rain water. I saw her floating away - wanted so much to stop her - to hold onto her. But a piece of me was saying - 'Let go'. That sound was echoing in the distance. 'LET GO'.

[ Continued in Full Post ]

That's the dream I saw last night. Woke up with a start. Tried to recapture what I went through there. And when everything came rushing back to me, the force of the pain was so grueling that wanted to get rid of it, but to no avail. When U can't fight the tide, it's better to flow with it. "How I would like to die?".

Hey, don't rush to a conclusion. I am not gonna die or kill myself for this. It's just a thought that I was having. Not many people get to choose the way they die. 'The End' da style. And if I were bestowed with this opportunity, I would like to breath my last in .....

We are on a seashore. Sun was setting in the distance, giving the water a mild reddish glow. My head resting on her lap. She's holding onto me like dear life. The only thing I could see is the ocean in her eyes. A thousand words, all that was left unsaid were being conveyed n felt in silence.

"I want u to know that I've always loved U" .
"U r the best thing that ever happened to me" .
"Promise me U'll be mine in next lifetime" .

A huge dew drop rolled out from her eyes and was slowly sliding on her cheeks. I tried to reach out - "please don't ...". but there was this huge block on me which won't let me move. Breathing was getting heavier and exhausting. She placed one of her palm on my cheeks and another over my heart. That felt so soothing and instantly calmed me down. It was time to leave. That dew drop was still sliding on her cheeks - noise of it's descend nulling the roar of the sea. It parted with her, dropped from the edge of her chin and was in mid air - and just moments before it was about to fall on my lips - the sun was down - "I'll be waiting."
